FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

welcome

The first step in your journey to health and happiness
can be the hardest one to take.
It takes courage to reach out in search of support.
Sometimes staying “stuck” in old patterns can be scarier
than taking those first steps forward.
Brené Brown said “When we deny the story, it defines us.
When we own the story, we can write a brave new ending.”

Therapy can help. Contact me to learn how.

COVID PRECAUTIONS

Your safety is our top priority. At this time, we provide teletherapy sessions as well as limited in-office visits for clients who have been vaccinated, with a completed vaccination card on file. This is subject to change depending on CDC guidelines.

Packages of 4 visits for $600.00 are available.

TELETHERAPY

Phone and video appointments are available by request. With busy schedules, traffic, kids, COVID,  and all the things that make appointments hard to keep, teletherapy can be a great solution. You can keep up with your sessions and still maintain your busy schedule. Sessions can be conducted by telephone or by video. I am able to work with clients who live anywhere within the state of California. If you are interested in sessions via video or phone, let me know before you schedule an appointment.

OFFICE SESSIONS

I work with adults, seniors, and teens who are dealing with issues like:
– Anxiety
– Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors
– Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
– Childhood Emotional Neglect
– Highly Sensitive Person trait
– Grief and loss
– Reproductive issues, including infertility
– Identity and Self-Esteem
– Chronic Illness and Pain

COACHING

Coaching and therapy are two different things, although they may overlap in some areas. Coaching generally focuses on specific areas, such as career goals, self-confidence, or addressing a behavior like trichotillomania. Therapy includes the above, plus mental health issues. There is no licensure or governing Board for coaches, while therapists have advanced degrees, years of internship, state licensure, and adhere to legal and ethical requirements. I provide both types of services in my practice.
